Who can plan an event?
Anyone! Guelph Pride encourages local businesses and organizations to plan events for Guelph Pride.
What does Guelph Pride value?
Guelph Pride has six core values which are the foundation of Guelph Pride Week. Those values are diversity, accessibility, awareness, acceptance, community, and education.
Why does Guelph Pride want to include Third Party events as part of the Guelph Pride line-up?
Guelph Pride believes that strength can be found in diversity. With a more diverse set of events, from a wide set of event planners, Guelph Pride week will be stronger and make a more powerful statement. A wider number of events will be available to appeal to a wider audience and appease a greater number of interests within the Guelph and surrounding communities. This program will allow community organizations and local businesses to build partnerships and connections to instill Guelph Pride values even deeper within the community.
How does it work?
Each third party will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating each event. Third party events are not covered under the insurance policy of Guelph Pride and Out On The Shelf. Each third party will also cover any costs of the event. In addition, third parties will take in any profit, if any profit is made. Guelph Pride will help with the event's promotion. All third party events will be displayed on our website and in our Pride Guide, provided that they are submitted before April 1, 2014. *Please note that you must register below in order to be promoted online and in the Pride Guide.*
Pride Pass Program
Guelph Pride will be offering a Pride Pass for 2014. With the pass, participants will pay one fee and be given access to specific events at a cheaper rate. Third Parties are eligible to participate in the Pride Pass Program. However, all funds made on pride passes will not be transferred to the third parties and will be Guelph Pride profit.
Support
Third parties are given permission to use the Guelph Pride logo on any promotional material that they distribute. If you have any questions or concerns about third party events, please e-mail Dillon March at chair@guelphpride.com.
